OPEN CALL OUT

Lost Properties    The objects we possess embody our life experience, culture, ideas and opinions; eventually becoming inconspicuous components of who we are and how we live. Once assimilated, we rarely reassess the meaning of these objects. We welcome proposals that reveal the inherent qualities in objects, ordinarily taken for granted or revered. Proposals for works in a variety of media: performance, film, 2D and 3D are invited.
Email submissions to Object Art at fringeartsbath-lostproperties@yahoo.com

Exciting News

Yes, if it wasn't enough on 06/10/11 to create a new identity, website, blog, Facebook id and first project all launched on the same day, we also submitted a proposal to Fringe Arts Bath.

We are very pleased to announce that Object Art will be curating an open call out show for Fringe 2012

Our proposed show will be featured in the FAB call out coming very soon

The Deadline Has Passed

Thank you to everyone that kindly donated an object. We are very excited at the prospect of taking inspiration from your objects to create our first collaborative artwork. Those of you that have donated have set us on the path to discover who we can be as Object Art, and if our responses so far are anything to go by, those of you that know us as individual artists may be in for a surprise!
We will be working on the piece over the next few months to present both it, and Object Art, to you in February.

Another Interesting Object

We have had some great donations and we are really excited about our collaboration. We can't wait to get started on our first piece, but before we do we would like MORE from you. PLEASE send us more objects. They don't have to be anything special, something that you are about to throw out, take to the tip, fluff from the bottom of your pocket, items languishing in a drawer or the back of a cupboard......All would be welcome. Let us search for the inner beauty of the mundane.
We would particularly love to know if any of our fellow artists are still out there........show us some support and send us something....Please : )
Contact us......collection may be possible
Thank You (in anticipation)

A topical donation!!!!

Thank you to those of you who have already donated items!! And to those who haven't....keep them coming!..Please..We want LOTS of interesting...or even quite mundane... things! One donation received on Wednesday this week was from Libya, from Di in Bristol, who said about her object:
‘I’ve never really thought of it; I suppose I should keep it because it was a gift. If I think of Libya it doesn’t bring good memories. It was from Radwan, a young lad who came over who knew my son, we looked after him. He ran away from Libya to avoid joining the armed forces. He gave me the bracelet as a present. He’s gone off the radar – I don’t know what’s happened to him. I think he went back to Libya to see his parents.’
